Unlike the Grizzly Man, I’ve never been particularly fond of bears. They are the only animals I truly fear (except maybe certain bugs), which is crazy, but true. There is no other animal that evokes in me such a profound visceral reaction – namely, sheer terror!

However, after seeing these photos of bears simply being bears, I must say I may have softened a bit toward them…

…but not enough to want to encounter one face-to-face!
