Imagine you’re living on a lush tropical island paradise…

You go to take the garbage out and what do you see?

Once you have stopped screaming, you blush in embarrassment.  You know very well there is a reason the world’s largest land arthropod is called the Giant “Coconut” Crab:

But why had it left the relative safety of its usual habitat?  Why is it trying to get into your trash can?  And how the hell are you supposed to throw the garbage out?

Not to worry. The crab scuttles off, more afraid of you than you are of it (though why that should be for an animal that can crack a coconut with its claws is beyond me).
